Our story
Reflections Glass Art Creations was started in 2023, when, after retiring from education, I took some classes on glass and resin art. I was instantly captivated and just wanted to keep creating. Since then, with the help of my husband, Wayne, I have expanded to selling my art and teaching others the process. To us, the process is one of creativity and a bit of bravery-as we try new methods and experiment a bit. Exploring the various mediums, colors, and methods has brought me joy and satisfies my creative desires. It is our hope that our work can bring you joy as well.
Our Craft
The Process: The beauty of glass and resin art is the amount of flexibility and creativity that abound. It starts with a canvas, a frame, a piece of wood, or really anything that can lie flat and level. Next, the design is selected and the layout decided. Choosing the colors of glass, beads, shells, paint colors (and whatever objects that are part of your imagination) is the best part. There are so many colors and textures available in nature that work to create your design. Once the design and layout of materials are complete, and all the changes are made, it is time to resin. There are so many choices of resin, but the ones that we use are a 1:1 formula of resin and hardener. After the resin is poured, the art must cure for at least 24 hours. Upon completion, the art is shiny, hard, gorgeous and ready to be hung in your home!
